Welcome to the Entebbe Road Rotarians Investment Club website. A platform that brings Rotarians near and far together to combine resources in order to create financial wealth.
It is said that alone, one can do so little but together, you can do so much. What individuals struggle to achieve single handedly , groups of individuals easily achieve, pooling on resources, expertise, ideas and connections. That is why through Investment Clubs, quite a number of Africans have been propelled to horizons unimagined.
Rotary is a family. Over time, members create bonds and relationships that can be used for good. A seed was planted to create something that would give the Rotarians a positive experience from this journey beyond the commitment to service above self to those who are underprivileged.
A year of Inspiration
2018/19 was marked as the Inspiration Year on the Rotary Calendar. The Entebbe Road Corridor Presidents created a bond of mutual support unlike the previous years. From RC Makindye West, RC Namasuba, RC Lubowa, RC Kajjansi, RC BWebajja, RC Nkumba, RC Mutundwe down to RC Entebbe, the Presidents showed a strong bond with which they carried the Inspirational year. A habit of “Tsunaming” each other’s fellowships and then later converging to the famous “kimeeza” for some drinks and bites tinged with laughter and good banter was developed. It is at these famous “kimeezas” that members realized that there should be something tangible to mark the good year.
Towards its end, a mega fellowship was held. It was hosted by the RC Lubowa and aimed at supporting the idea of creating an Investment Club for the Rotarians on this Corridor. The Interim committee to steer the club was elected and it consisted of;

The team did an excellent job of evangelizing for the Investment Club and recruiting new members. Meetings were held in different clubs to educate and mobilize members. Through joint effort from many Rotarians, the conception and development of the idea in different capacities from registration of the club to development of by-laws, constitution and so many other items essential at inception, was possible.
The Club officially began in November 2019 and has been steadily growing in both members and savings. Looking back, I can only smile and marvel at this team of people that created such a beautiful bond and decided to make it profitable. The Investment Club has diversified into other clubs and so far we have RC Kyengera, RC Nabbingo and RC Gaba onboard.
As we move forward, saving a shilling at a time, the hope is that this will lead to something that years to come, will be looked upon in awe.
